Pigeon Island National Park - Your snorkel is ~09:30–11:45 (after whales) - favour shots earlier in that window while light and water are clearer; glare rises toward midday.
- A simple action camera with a red filter brings the coral colours back to life below 2 metres.
- Approach turtles slowly from the side, never from above - you’ll get longer, closer encounters.
- If the camera glass fogs when it hits the water, hold it under for ~1 minute before you start shooting.
